Let us help design and implement a testing strategy that ensures your network development and enhancements meet functional, performance and conformity requirements. Although not new, passive intermodulation interference has recently become a concern for the wireless telecom service providers. PIM results from the interaction of a carrier frequency and the one or more passive devices (antenna, coupler, connector, coax, jumper, etc.) and can have substantial negative effect on base station performance, coverage and call quality. Defective manufacturing, dissimilar metals used in manufacturing, faulty installation and/or assembly practices, and the natural aging and weathering of passive devices contribute to the increase in PIM and its effects on network performance and call quality.
